Thank You Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation

After the Valley Fire on 9/12/15, staff from Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation came to the aid of Middletown Animal Hospital providing much needed medical supplies so that we could treat the injured animals from the fire.  During the first few weeks we didn't know how long we would be able to provide free care for fire victims but because of the generosity of so many we were actually able to sustain free care for for a year after the fire, gradually tapering off so that people had the time to get back on their feet.

Now, our efforts have shifted to rescuing animals from Animal Control who are adoptable but would otherwise be euthanized due to lack of space or funding.  Recently we took on a sick Doberman and nursed him back to health for about a month before getting him adopted.  Last week we took in 7 kittens from one person on the condition that they spay the mother.  We are now altering all of the kittens and searching for homes.  We are able to continue doing this kind of work as long as the rescue agencies that we rely on can keep taking adoptable animals from us.  Unfortunately we reached out to our rescue partners and right now they are all full of kittens.  We are not a shelter and cannot house unowned animals long term so please get the word out that we need help finding homes!

Today we received another generous donation from Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation.  It's people like you who enable us to save the lives of animals who would otherwise not have a chance.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
