Today Middletown Animal Hospital saw a pot belly pig for a patient who had a laceration on her hind leg. Pigs are notorious for screaming loudly when they don't like what you are doing. They are also very sensitive to anesthesia and IV catheters. Not all veterinary hospitals would even see a pot belly pig. Fortunately all 3 of our veterinarians at MAH are experienced in the special quirks of porcine medicine and Dr. Shackelton did a great job of suturing this little piggy's wound.
